Fast Data Load is a Power Query feature that makes loading queries faster by utilising additional CPU power and RAM.

I conducted an experiment to see how long it took to load datasets of varying sizes — 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 and 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 Fast Data Load enabled.
These consisted of fictional adult census data that each had 15 columns and the following number of rows:
• 1 million
• 5 million
• 10 million
• 50 million
• 100 million
Performance depends on the setup, so the following sections provide details about the hardware and software used.
