Border Styles Comparison
I’ve often wondered why the Format Cells window for conditional formatting only has half the border styles found in the standard one.
I like the thick border styles because they stand out more. There have been numerous occasions when I’ve wanted to use them but haven’t been able to.
Sure, the workaround is to set all the borders to thick and then use conditional formatting to change them to thin when certain conditions are met, but this is far from ideal.
I’ve seen forum posts from as far back as 2006 asking the same, only to be met with a stream of disappointing replies.
The question is, why? If anyone knows the reason, please enlighten me.
