The evolution of the Global Excel Summit lectern

It’s funny how your memory can play tricks on you.
I was convinced the lectern at last year’s Global Excel Summit was made of some shade of mahogany wood — more akin to the traditional ones I grew up seeing at my school assemblies.
But no, after digging up some old photos, it turns out it resembled more of a big black cuboid.
However, what I do remember correctly is how plain it was. That’s why this year we decided to have a branded one.
Admittedly, the seal could have been tighter, and more of the space could have been filled with branding — but it was an upgrade nonetheless.
